Global IP Tandem Selects GENBAND Interconnect Solution to Enable Flat Rate North American Calling for Service Providers

Frisco, Texas, June 5, 2012— GENBAND,a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, today announced that Global IP Tandem, a membership organization that provides a centralized switching solution for Voice over IP (VoIP) providers, has selected GENBAND’s Interconnect Solution to enable seamless routing of VoIP originated traffic between Global IP Tandem’s member companies. By utilizing unique routing methods to route calls directly between service providers, the Global IP Tandem network bypasses the PSTN and enables the operator to offer a ‘flat rate’ to member companies for calls placed anywhere in North America.
