Dr. Robert Keys, Chief Architect, Optical, Selected to Address Exclusive Audience on “The Future of Broadband Infrastructure”
OTTAWA and BOSTON – June 13, 2012
BTI Systems, the global leader redefining service delivery for metro network operators, has been asked to join the Fujitsu Laboratories of America Technology Symposium 2012 on “Paving the Road to Unlimited Bandwidth: Technologies and Applications for a Connected Age” with Dr. Robert Keys as a panel speaker. This annual event – to be held on June 13 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA – will focus on how a new generation of applications across the industry spectrum, including education, intelligent transportation and smart grid, will drive the development and deployment of a scalable, next-generation network infrastructure.
BTI and Fujitsu have a seven-year, OEM relationship that has grown to include the integration of BTI’s complete family of Packet Optical platforms into the Fujitsu FLASHWAVE Portfolio. Working closely with Fujitsu Network Communications, the Companies’ joint customers include several large, tier-one service providers.
“As an open and networked laboratory, we hold these symposia to foster information and idea exchange within our innovation ecosystem,” said Yasunori Kimura, President and CEO of Fujitsu Laboratories of America. “Given BTI’s rich heritage in packet optical networking and experience working with global telecom networks, we look forward to their contribution to the panel discussion.”
“It is an honor to be chosen to speak at this distinguished event,” said Dr. Robert Keys, Chief Architect, Optical at BTI Systems. “Fujitsu is a valued BTI partner and they continue to take a leadership role in providing packet optical transport solutions. Spearheading an open exchange of ideas with executives from industry, academia and government will help all involved to share views of what the next-generation solutions and strategies will be and their respective impact on services delivery.”
