The GTB Innovation Awards, designed to honor ground-breaking projects involving telecom operators and service providers around the world, were presented Tuesday, June 12 at a black-tie ceremony in central London.

BT deployed GENBAND’s IP Interconnect solution in the fourth quarter of 2011 to deliver SIP-based IP Interconnect and provide access to PSTN for other global tier 1 and tier 2 carriers. The solution, comprised of GENBAND’s S3™ Intelligent Session Border Controllers, G9™ Converged Media Gatewaysand C3™ Gateway Controllers, was selected to support BT’s enhanced Global IP Interconnect solution for UK and global wholesale customers, serving the needs of fixed and mobile customers in the UK and in more than 170 countries.
