The Jackson Group conducts employee and patient satisfaction surveys for healthcare organizations around the country. “When I started, we relied on written surveys that were hand-keyed in, or used handheld devices at focus groups,” says Len Bartlett, the company’s information services director. “Now, Web-based surveys have streamlined the way we do business, as part of our push toward quantifying the effects of satisfaction with results-based medicine. Not to mention all data must be securely stored, to comply with HIPAA.”
Bartlett says the Jackson Group relied on a data center company based in California, but grew increasingly dissatisfied with the service that company provided as his company’s requirements grew. “There was no easy way to get hold of them. We’d be directed to a website, and had to wait up to 24 hours for a return phone call,” Bartlett says. Matters came to a head when the Jackson Group won a contract with a Federal government agency that listed specific compliance measures and security protocols. “We had no faith that our existing provider was going to allow us to meet those requirements.”
Bartlett turned to Windstream Hosted Solutions to host the Jackson Group’s data center. “We needed a partner who would be able to help us, allowing us to focus on what we do best.
