Albany, NY- Kevin O’Connor, Chief Executive Officer & President of Tech Valley Communications of Albany, New York has been elected to the Board of Directors of COMPTEL, the nation’s leading trade association for the competitive telecommunications industry.
Representatives from twelve companies nationwide were elected to serve at the COMPTEL Convention & Expo held in San Francisco last week. O’Connor is also a member of COMPTEL’s CEO Council. O’Connor is Co-Founder of Tech Valley Communications, which has experienced significant growth over the past 12 years including the acquisitions of Glens Falls Communications, Mid-Hudson Communications and just last year of New Hampshire based fiber provider, segTEL, becoming one of the premier fiber-based telecommunications companies in the Northeastern U.S. Tech Valley Communications’ high capacity, low latency fiber network is comprised of over 150,000 fiber miles and 775 fiber lit buildings throughout upstate New York and New England.
