STERCI relies on Interoute infrastructure for its Cloud offering

STERCI meets demand for increased network capacity with Interoute’s data centres

London, 21 May 2012 – STERCI, a leading financial messaging solutions company, has accelerated the efficiency and business agility of its growing customer base, by outsourcing its portfolio of global transaction services for financial data to the cloud. Placing its Global Transaction Suite (GTSuite) in Interoute’s pan-European private cloud, STERCI has increased its network capacity to meet the need for greater security and higher availability for its 300 customers, across 20 countries worldwide.

Interoute’s highly secure Data Centres and co-location facilities provide STERCI with a dedicated private network, making it possible for the SWIFT Service Bureau to stay connected with its entire customer base.

“We needed a strong partner that would deliver real quality of service for our Cloud business, so technical expertise and a proven infrastructure were an essential requirement,” said Etienne Savatier, International Sales and Partnerships Director, at STERCI. “When it comes to supporting financial transactions, there’s no room for error. We have to provide high performance, high availability and resilience. Interoute has provided us with a fully redundant system that duplicates the network across sites in Geneva and Zurich. This enables us to meet our demanding failover and disaster recovery requirements and stay ahead of customer needs.”

Jan Louwes, Executive Vice President, Sales Products & Marketing at Interoute said, “STERCI operates in a competitive financial market where speed and reliability of service are essential. By hosting its solutions in our certified data centres, STERCI can be sure of the security and availability of its financial applications for banks, financial institutions, insurance companies and businesses around the world.”

Owning and managing both the network and the data centre, Interoute is able to offer STERCI a dedicated private network from which its software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and IP-VPN services can be made directly available. Customers can also use STERCI’s private network on the Interoute backbone to outsource the management of their GTSuite connectivity, allowing them to focus on their core business by outsourcing both the Software and the Connectivity provided as a single package from STERCI.

Plans are also underway to develop the partnership between STERCI and Interoute, with projects being designed to help STERCI comply with incoming financial regulations required by the banking and finance industry.
