Windstream VP of carrier services to moderate panel on mobile backhaul and ethernet services at COMPTEL PLUS

Little Rock, Ark. — Windstream Corp. (NYSE:WIN, news, filings) announced that Jason Adkins, vice president of carrier services for Windstream, will speak at COMPTEL PLUS Convention & EXPO in San Francisco next week.
Adkins will moderate the “Mobile Backhaul & Ethernet Services–The Services Required to Grow Business” session on Tuesday, April 17, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. The session will highlight the opportunity for regional Ethernet providers to maximize their revenue and will also discuss SLA assurance services for existing networks. Panelists will also educate attendees on the potential to provide “burstable” bandwidth services, and incrementally charge customers for actual capacity usage above a pre-defined bandwidth rate.
Additional panel members include: Ty Estes, marketing director, Omnitron Systems; Chad Hoyle, director of network operations, DukeNet Communications, LLC; and Frank Wiener, vice president of marketing, Cyan.
Adkins has been with Windstream since 2010, and has more than 17 years of telecommunications management experience with companies such as Level 3, Telcove, Conterra, and KMC Telecom.
