[Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 30, 2012]: Acknowledging the company’s exceptional commitment to the Middle East technology landscape, Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider has been distinguished as “Managed Services Provider of the Year in Telecoms” during the much anticipated Network World Middle East Awards 2012 held recently at The Atlantis hotel in Dubai, UAE.
The company was spotlighted for its work over the past year in actively transforming to a next-generation Managed Services (MS) provider and for its particular focus on helping regional communication service entities confront All-IP evolution and ICT convergence challenges. The coveted award looked at a variety of criteria such as level of service innovation, commitment to the region and successful technology deployments. Mr. Dong Wu, Vice President of Enterprise Business Group at Huawei Middle East, accepted the award on behalf of Huawei in the presence of over three hundred guests.
“Expanding our portfolio both in terms of market breadth and depth, it has been a great pleasure to collaborate with partners this year in building tailored Managed Services that ensure overall operational excellence with Total Value Ownership (TVO),” said Mr. Wu. “Telecom operators in the region are under constant pressure to reduce total cost of ownership whilst tackling the complexities brought forth by evolving technologies and increasingly higher consumer expectations. Honors such as this are particularly significant for us in that they are only possible through our customers’ own business success, and I would like to thank all our partners for their ongoing confidence in Huawei and pursuit of best practices within the region.”
Huawei’s Managed Service portfolio covers a series of premium solutions such as outsourcing, network performance management, field operation and spare parts management. Huawei currently cooperates with over 96 certified service partners with MS branches located in nine countries supporting over 24 leading telecom operators. The company has also established three unique Middle East resource centers dedicated to Managed Services whilst opening five training centers for sharing best practices with customers and third-parties.
The company’s innovation in the ICT field has earned Huawei numerous industry recognitions during the last year including Middle East Vendor of the Year by CommsMEA, the Global Growth & Innovation in Telecom Managed Services award by Frost & Sullivan, and the Excellence in Customer Perception of Service Quality award by GIL Global, amongst others.
