TelecityGroup France recertified to ISO 27001, 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards

Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance audit demonstrates TelecityGroup’s industry-leadership in France

TelecityGroup, Europe’s industry-leading provider of premium carrier-neutral data centres, announced today that all its data centres in France have been recertified with the ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 accreditations. The globally recognised certifications – for information security, environmental management, quality management, and occupational health and safety – demonstrate TelecityGroup’s ongoing commitment to provide the optimum environment for its customers to house their telecoms, internet and IT infrastructure.

TelecityGroup’s data centres in France were recertified to these standards following a six day audit from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LQRA), a leading supplier of management system certifications. The LRQA’s experts analysed TelecityGroup’s management systems, technical facilities, employee structure, and energy efficiency credentials according to the strict guidelines of these international standards.

Stéphane Duproz, Managing Director, TelecityGroup France comments: “We are currently the only data centre operator in France to achieve such a wide range of international certifications. This underlines our commitment to providing premium data centre facilities, optimum customer service, and excellence in health and safety performance. Our customers can be confident that our facilities meet rigorous international standards across our data centre estate, ensuring a consistently high quality of service.”

The certifications cover:

  • ISO 9001:2008 – Quality A business quality management standard demonstrating that procedures are in place to ensure the highest operational standards are met. The recertification of the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation highlights TelecityGroup’s effective quality management systems, and the high-quality service its customers receive.
  • ISO 27001:2005 – Information Security The strictest international standard in information security management, enabling companies to certify the security practices they adopt within their organisation. This requires a systematic examination of an organisation’s information security risks, taking into account any threats or vulnerabilities. The recertification of this standard demonstrates TelecityGroup’s comprehensive suite of security controls and how its overarching management processes ensure these controls continue to meet its customers’ security needs.
  • ISO 14001:2004 – Environment An internationally-recognised accreditation for organisations that demonstrate superior environmental management. The EU Code of Conduct best practice forms the core of TelecityGroup’s approach to energy management. The certificate highlights TelecityGroup’s ongoing commitment to maximise the energy efficiency of its existing data centre estate and develop innovative new facilities such as Condorcet, which was designed and built to be one of Europe’s most energy-efficient data centres.
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 – Occupational Health and Safety The assessment specification for occupational health and safety management systems.  This validates companies that show excellence in health and safety performance, and demonstrates leadership in reducing risk and creating an injury-free workplace. TelecityGroup France meets over 1,550 regulatory requirements, including employee training programs and the evaluation, monitoring, and management of health and safety risks.

In addition to these standards, TelecityGroup’s data centres in France are also PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant. The certification ensures customers can easily secure payments and customer data, and simplify their own PCI DSS accreditation processes.
