Buenos Aires, February 23, 2012 – IPLAN, a leader in telecommunications and cloud computing services for small and medium-sized businesses in Argentina, has chosen Cisco® technology to complete the infrastructure of its fifth data center, scheduled to be launched in June 2012 in the Technological District of Parque Patricios.
IPLAN chose the Cisco Unified Computing System™ (Cisco UCS™) and Cisco Nexus® components for its next-generation platform for virtual servers, dedicated servers and IT ecosystems. The company aims to offer widely varied, flexible and scalable services to meet the continuous growth of its customers and to reach all the small and medium-sized businesses of the country, regardless of location.
“More than anyone else, small and medium-sized businesses need a provider to give them an integrated service offer and to accompany them in their business growth in a dynamic way. The high level of integration, modularity and centralization of the Cisco UCS solution allows us to meet those needs,”says Hernán Arcidiácono, service development manager at IPLAN.
The new data center facilities were designed with the highest-quality standards required by the industry. They will be the only facilities in Buenos Aires City to exceed the international Tier 3 project characteristics, with an IT room of 1,200 square meters, a power capacity of 4 megawatts, and the most innovative and efficient technologies of high-density racks and cooling together with the most advanced security and processing data systems.
“We are proud of having Cisco as a technological partner in the construction of this fifth data center. For more than 12 years we have been relying on Cisco products and solutions, as they assure technological innovation and quality. With Cisco we guarantee our customers the access to the best IT infrastructure,” said Pablo Saubidet, CEO, IPLAN.
“The Cisco Unified Computing System, which integrates computing, network, administration and virtualization, has been the main solution in this implementation. IPLAN with its new data center can release new commercial models apart from reducing the deployment time of the applications and improving the business agility, which impacts directly in customers´s satisfaction,” explained Cesar Parga, account manager Cisco.
