Iselin, NJ – JANUARY 12, 2012 – Cross River Fiber, a New Jersey-based, boutique dark fiber optic and telecommunications solutions provider, announce the additions of Mike Sevret as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer and Jim Martini as Chief Financial Officer.

Cross River Fiber, launched in June 2011, is a niche CLEC that designs, constructs and manages carrier independent dark fiber optic routes throughout the State of New Jersey. Sevret joins the company’s management team from Optimum Lightpath, where he served as the company’s Regional Vice President of Sales. Martini previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of 4Connections LLC, a metro dark fiber provider.  The addition of Sevret and Martini to Cross River Fiber’s management team strengthens the company’s philosophy, culture, and existing expertise in supporting the next generation of broadband growth.

With deep roots in the telecommunications and competitive local exchange carrier market, Sevret, Martini and Vincenzo Clemente, the President and CEO of Cross River Fiber, hail from 4Connections, at the time, a ground breaking alternate network service provider.  The company was sold in 2008 to Optimum Lightpath, leaving a hole in the market for custom designed, high-bandwidth network services. In the past two years, the New Jersey market has experienced an immense surge in network demand specifically due to the growing financial services market, government, education, and healthcare sectors that leverage the state’s cost-effective power and real-estate resources to support increased reliability on IT infrastructure.

“Cross River Fiber was founded to serve the specific needs of companies requiring custom designed, diverse, and alternative high bandwidth fiber optic solutions,” comments Vincenzo Clemente, President and CEO of Cross River Fiber.  “As we build deeper into the market, I am thrilled to reunite with Mike Sevret and Jim Martini who have proven their ability to understand the needs of customers and effectively deliver solutions to fulfill them.  Both Mike and Jim will play integral roles in the future growth of Cross River Fiber.”

“I am honored to once again team with Mike and Enzo to bring to market highly customized dark fiber network solutions throughout New Jersey,” adds James Martini, Chief Financial Officer for Cross River Fiber.  “After owning my own accounting firm and having the opportunity to learn and manage the financial and business aspects of 4Connections and then sell the company to Optimum Lightpath, it’s exciting to bring this experience to Cross River Fiber.  Furthermore, it’s thrilling to once again get rooted into a growing organization, helmed by experienced and proven executives that will make a difference.”

“It is exciting to lead the strategy for a company solely focused on meeting the network demands of its customers,” adds Mike Sevret, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. “Our goal is to exceed expectations required by service providers, health care organizations, financial services companies and enterprise businesses throughout New Jersey by designing and constructing the most reliable and efficient fiber optic network solutions available today, while staying ahead of customer requirements ensuring we meet their needs for the future as well.”

Sevret brings more than a dozen years of experience in the telecommunications network service provider industry to the executive management team at Cross River Fiber.  The company is currently designing 160 new route miles of state-of-the-art fiber optic network throughout the state of New Jersey.  Cross River’s network design acumen promises to deliver diversity and the lowest latency by traversing the shortest path between each end-point effectively utilizing the public right of way. Cross River Fiber’s targeted priority dark fiber builds include routes to key carrier hotels, data centers and financial exchanges in over a dozen Garden State locations, including prominent, high-traffic hubs in the cities of Secaucus, Clifton, Nutley, North Bergen, Newark, Carteret, Edison, Piscataway, Somerset, Rochelle Park, and Totowa, NJ.
