TelecityGroup ranked in top 25 most admired companies in Britain

TelecityGroup, Europe’s industry-leading provider of premium carrier-neutral data centres, has been ranked in the top 25 most admired companies in Britain in Management Today’s 2011 Britain’s Most Admired Companies Awards. Now in their 21st year, the awards are a prestigious indicator of the success of Britain’s highest performing businesses.

The awards are based on the results of the Britain’s Most Admired Companies survey, a peer review which asks the management of 200 of the UK’s top companies, as well as analysts and city commentators, about the British organisations they most admire. TelecityGroup has been named as Britain’s 25th most admired company overall, as well as second in the ‘Software & Computers’ sector.

In conjunction with Birmingham City Business School, the awards rank companies by sector, as well as overall, using nine specific performance criteria. TelecityGroup has been ranked highest in its sector for “quality of management”, in addition to being recognised for its “value as a long-term investment” and its “use of corporate assets”, reflecting the company’s continued financial performance and its controlled and sustainable capacity expansion strategy in response to customer demand.

Michael Tobin, CEO of TelecityGroup says: “It is an honour to be recognised by so many of our illustrious peers in British business with such a high overall ranking in these awards. It is a reflection of the continued hard work of everyone at TelecityGroup, which enables us to maintain our industry-leading role at the heart of the digital economy.”
