AT&T Also a Challenger in Unified Communications as a Service Magic Quadrant
Dallas, Texas, December 28, 2011
Following assessments of 12 U.S. service providers, Gartner industry analysts have named AT&T* to the Leaders Quadrant in its 2011 Web Conferencing Magic Quadrant report.1 Gartner also acknowledged AT&T as a “challenger” in a separate Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, North America.2
In both Magic Quadrants, Gartner based its evaluations on the service providers’ “completeness of vision” and “ability to execute.”
AT&T’s web conferencing offer – AT&T Connect® – combines voice, web and video conferencing into a single collaboration tool for businesses of all sizes. Available on desktops as well as a variety of mobile operating systems, AT&T Connect has the power to unite workers across the globe in a flexible, easy-to-use environment.
“We feel that Gartner’s placement of AT&T in both of these reports well represents our commitment to providing our business customers with high-quality collaboration services,” said Shawn Conroy, Vice President of Voice, Collaboration and Unified Communications Services, AT&T Business Solutions. “Collaboration is essential for workplace productivity – and productivity is essential for success.”
According to Gartner, “Vendors in the Leaders quadrant demonstrate an ability to respond to customers’ needs while having robust, scalable products with a wide range of features, a large installed base, acceptable financial performance and good distribution. Leaders are doing well today and are prepared for the future.
