Donate five or more canned goods and receive a free pair of tickets to the Dec. 16 concert at Warehouse Live
HOUSTON (BUSINESS WIRE), December 05, 2011 – To aid in the fight against hunger this holiday season, Boost Mobile has teamed with Houston hip-hop artist Slim Thug, along with rapper Juvenile, to host a food drive to benefit the Houston Food Bank. From now through Dec. 16, 25 Boost Mobile stores throughout the Houston area will serve as drop off locations for cans of food. Visitors who drop off five or more cans of food will receive a free pair of tickets1 to the Slim Thug and Juvenile concert on Friday, Dec. 16, at Warehouse Live in Houston.
“It is important to give back to the less fortunate because you always have to remember when you were in their shoes and needed help,” said Slim Thug. “May God bless those who bless others.”
This is the third year Boost Mobile has partnered with local Houston hip-hop artists for a holiday food drive. In 2009 and 2010 combined, the effort produced more than 15,000 cans of food for the Food Bank to distribute to Houston families in need. For more information and a complete list of drop-off locations, visit www.warehouselive.com.
“Boost Mobile believes in the positive power of music,” said Maurice Elrod, local marketing manager, Boost Mobile. “Partnering with Slim Thug is a great way to encourage the Houston community to give back this holiday season. As in years past, we are confident we will provide the Houston Food Bank a large contribution of canned goods.”
