Hoffpauir recognized for driving firm’s technical vision, advancing product innovation on behalf of customers
GAITHERSBURG, MD, November 28, 2011 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings) today announced that Chief Technology Officer Scott Hoffpauir has been selected as IT Executive of the Year by the Tech Council of Maryland (TCM). The award was presented to BroadSoft at the 2011 Mid-Atlantic CIO & CTO Live! Awards Ceremony held in Bethesda, MD on November 17th.
The Mid-Atlantic CIO & CTO Live! Awards recognize the Greater Washington region’s most accomplished CIOs, CTOs, VPs of IT and senior IT leaders. The awards are in their sixth year and, according to TCM, it is the Mid-Atlantic’s only award ceremony for IT professionals.
As CTO and co-founder of BroadSoft, Mr. Hoffpauir was honored for his visionary approach to technology development, and a demonstrated ability to not only analyze where the market is, but where it is headed. As a result, Mr. Hoffpauir has been instrumental in helping BroadSoft transform communications applications for delivery over IP networks.
