Verizon Global Wholesale Executives Named to GTB Power 100

Global Telecoms Business Magazine Cites 100 Most Powerful People in the Telecommunications Industry

October 11, 2011

NEW YORK – Two Verizon Global Wholesale executives — Mike Millegan, president of Verizon Global Wholesale, and Quintin Lew, chief marketing officer for Verizon Global Wholesale — are listed in the GTB Power 100 for 2011. The list, published by Global Telecoms Business magazine annually since 2008, lists the 100 most powerful people in the telecommunications industry worldwide, based on nominations by readers of the magazine.

Since joining the company in 1980, Millegan has held various positions in finance, human resources, customer service and operations and currently is responsible for domestic and international wholesale strategy, marketing, sales and wholesale business operations.

In his previous role as senior vice president and general manager for Verizon’s Midwest region, Millegan was responsible for installation, repair, outside plant, sales and local marketing for approximately 4 million customers, a role where he also led the introduction of the innovative FiOS product.

In 2010, Millegan was elected to the board of trustees of the United Way of Northern New Jersey. An active community leader, Millegan is a member of the World Trade Center in Seattle and the Springs Foundation. He is an executive-in-residence at the University of North Texas and serves on the Business Advisory Council for the College of Business and Professional Studies at Angelo State University in Texas. The university named Millegan a Wells Fargo Distinguished Lecturer in 2003 and the Distinguished Alumni of the year in 2005.

Millegan holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in business administration from Angelo State University.

In his role, Quintin Lew is responsible for developing the strategy and vision for wholesale, growing the product portfolio, and driving the transformation of wholesale by launching new products and services, and targeting new customer segments.

Prior to his current position, Lew was the vice president responsible for marketing, strategy and business development for Verizon’s global solutions where he led an organization responsible for product development, market planning, pricing, strategic development, business alliances and partnerships.

Lew has been recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center as one of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business and received the Organization of Chinese Americans’ National Asian American Corporate Achievement Award.

Lew received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at the State University of New York at Albany and completed the Master of Business Administration degree program at New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business.

Also listed on the GTB Power 100 are Verizon Chief Executive Officer Lowell McAdam and Dan Mead, president and chief executive officer for Verizon Wireless.
