HickoryTech Promotes Troy Johnson as Vice President of Engineering and Network Operations

MANKATO, Minn., Oct. 4, 2011 — HickoryTech Corporation (NASDAQ:HTCO, news, filings) today announced the promotion of Troy Johnson to vice president of engineering and network operations with responsibilities for strategic planning and technical direction for the company’s growing network.

Johnson will be based at HickoryTech’s Enventis Minneapolis office and will report to Carol Wirsbinski, chief operating officer at HickoryTech.  Johnson, who previously served as Director of Data Services, joined HickoryTech in 2009 through the CP Telecom acquisition.  He has 24 years of experience in the communications indus
