Comcast Business Class Enhances Communications Offerings for Kennedy Wilson Building Tenants in Colorado

International real estate firm enables Denver-area building with immediate, one-stop access to high-speed Internet, voice and television services

DENVER, Oct. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK), one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information and communications products and services, today announced that international real estate investment and services firm Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW) is providing high-speed Internet, voice and cable television from Comcast Business Class to support its tenants’ advanced communications needs in the Denver area.

Kennedy Wilson is now offering Metro Ethernet Services from Comcast Business Class to tenants at the El Dorado Ridge office park in Broomfield, Colorado, which currently consists of three facilities totaling approximately 326,000 square feet. El Dorado Ridge II is the first building to receive Comcast Business Class services and plans are in place to expand to the other two buildings later in 2011.

“I expect that the rollout of Comcast Business Class will give our building a competitive advantage over other multi-tenant office buildings in the greater Denver market,” said Mike Pepper, managing director of Kennedy Wilson’s property management division. “A good portion of our tenants are technology-savvy, high-bandwidth users. After negotiating rental rates and terms with the landlord, their very next question is ‘Tell us about telecom services,’ so having Comcast high-speed communications in our building will give us an advantage and give tenants the flexibility to choose from multiple providers.”

Recently, Comcast Business Class also announced the results of its 2011 State of Communications Services in Commercial Real Estate Survey, which polled nearly 500 U.S. commercial real estate building owners and property managers and members of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Respondents confirmed that access to advanced communications services has replaced on-site gyms, cafeterias and other building amenities as a top priority for tenants when choosing office locations. In fact, 90% of respondents say that access to advanced communications was among the top items on their list, after only price, parking and location.

“As organizations increasingly adopt technologies such as cloud computing, Software-as-a-Service and business continuity/disaster recovery, a highly-reliable network with scalable bandwidth capabilities is no longer a luxury but a business-critical necessity,” said Terry Connell, Senior Vice President for Comcast Business Services. “As a prominent international real estate firm with locations across the nation, Kennedy Wilson understands the strategic value of providing high-quality communications services and the importance of providing the flexibility of choice to its tenants.”
