London, 14 October 2011 - Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM, news, filings), a leading cloud platform for enabling secure, high-performing user experiences on any device, anywhere, today announced that retail customer ASOS, the global online fashion and beauty retailer, has won the Best Large Online Retailer, Best use of Social Media, International e-Retail and Online Gold awards at this year’s renowned eCommerce Awards for Excellence, held on October 11th in London. Akamai has been providing cloud-based web optimisation services to ASOS for more than four years, helping the retailer to scale internationally and deploy local language sites. With over three million active users, in 160 countries and 13 million unique visitors a month, Akamai has enabled ASOS to ensure that customers receive a first-rate online shopping experience wherever they are in the world.
