[Berlin, Germany, 22 September, 2011]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today concluded the 2011 Global MBB Forum in Berlin, Germany. The event was hosted with the supporting partner GSMA. More than 200 guests attended the forum, including operators, device providers, chipset providers, regulators and standards bodies, analysts, content providers.
Significant progress was shared by all parties. Demonstrating the future capabilities of their announced GigaSite solution at the event, Huawei successfully addressed extraordinary hot spot issues in an environment where more than 100 participants simultaneously downloaded and enjoyed high quality video from YouTube on smartphones. This ability, plus the indication of additional imminent solutions designed to expedite efficiency and quality experience, in what Wireless Network President, David Wang described as Huawei’s a mobile Giga World, were welcomed by all representatives of the global mobile ecosystem.
Huawei also announced plans for the Global MBB Forum 2012, which is to be held in Canada.
