Integra Telecom Invests More Than $11 Million in Collocation Additions and Enhancements

Fiber-based Telecommunications Provider Expands Reach of High-Bandwidth Services for Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses in Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada and Washington

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept.28, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a provider of fiber-based, businessgrade networking, communications and cloud solutions, has invested more than $11 million in infrastructure and network upgrades in Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada and Washington. This investment includes the addition of nine new collocations throughout the four states and enhancements to existing collocations in Colorado and Reno, Nev. Integra also added a new IP softswitch in Reno. These upgrades expand Integra’s service area around the new collocations and ensure that the company’s full suite of high-bandwidth products and services, including Ethernet over Copper (EoC), are available to businesses of all sizes throughout its 11 state service area.

“At Integra Telecom, we value our relationship with the small- and medium-sized business sector and are committed to providing the latest in fiber-based communication technologies throughout the markets we serve,” said Matt Smith, vice president of sales for Integra Telecom. “These upgrades are part of our broader strategy to invest in next-generation communications that support the SMB market, including networking and IT solutions such as fiber, Ethernet, VPN, hosted PBX and email, as well as online data storage and web hosting.”
