[Shenzhen, China, 13 September, 2011]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, was awarded for its “Outstanding Contributions in Mobile Communication Support” today by Shenzhen Mobile. The award is in recognition of Huawei’s effective SmartCare solutions, which provided mobile communications for the 26th World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
“Huawei’s outstanding SmartCare technology and cooperation throughout the 2011 World University Games resulted in flawless mobile communications support during the entire event,” said by the Director of Shenzhen Mobile Network Maintenance Department. “Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us and with Huawei’s solution our customers were extremely pleased with the high quality of service they received.”
Huawei’s SmartCare solutions is an end-to-end service assurance technology that enables mobile operators to achieve lean network operation and shift their focus from a traditional emphasis on network performance management to the greater service quality and improved user experience demanded by the modern mobile communications ecosystem. The solution’s network operation and management system allows operators to accurately measure subscriber experience and service quality across the network, analyze and predict subscriber behavior in real time, and use key quality indicators to identify and solve service quality issues before the user is aware of them.
“As network convergence and information and communications technology development continues to progress, mobile operators around the world are making lean operations and enhanced customer experience their top priorities,” said Yu Chengdong, senior vice president, Huawei. “Huawei SmartCare is ideal solutions to achieve these goals, allowing operators to collect and process very large amounts of data from across their networks, preemptively detect and solve service issues, and maximize service quality and user experience. The solutions’ performance at the World University Games is a great example of its effectiveness.”
During the course of the games, Shenzhen’s mobile traffic spiked by up to 15 times its normal rate. Throughout, Huawei’s SmartCare solutions allowed operators to track network performance, service quality, and user experience across the network in real time, detect and solve service problems preemptively, and maintain a call completion rate of over 99.9% over the course of the 10-day games.
