August 2, 2011 (Warrington, PA) – Sunesys, LLC, a telecommunications services and dark fiber provider, today announced that the company purchased an innerduct conduit system in an effort to extend the reach of its current network into downtown Atlanta and neighboring suburban markets. The expansion will connect the present Cobb and Cherokee County networks and provide increased access into key areas of connectivity including the Data Center Colocation & Interconnection Facility at 56 Marietta Street.
The approximately 120-mile duct equips Sunesys to provide solutions across the Gwinnett, Fulton and DeKalb counties in addition to the Atlanta downtown metro area.
“As a top provider of fiber optic solutions, this expansion allows Sunesys to provide Atlanta businesses, K-12 institutions, healthcare organizations and telecommunications carriers reliable and secure network solutions,” said Lawrence Coleman, President of Sunesys. “We look forward to bringing this expanded access to these Atlanta-area organizations and service providers.”
“We recognize the critical needs of our customer base for increased bandwidth in the Atlanta metro area. Expanding our network enables Sunesys to deliver cost-effective solutions for customers seeking dark fiber and managed wide area networks” states Alan Katz, Senior Vice President of Sunesys. “For us, gaining access into the 56 Marietta Street hub will provide more robust end-to-end fiber solutions across the board for existing and future customers.”
Sunesys will begin populating the duct early in the first quarter of 2012.
