Integra’s Fiber-Based Services Now Available to Thousands of Businesses
PORTLAND, Ore.–Integra Telecom Inc., provider of business-grade networking, communications, and cloud solutions, has established a new monthly benchmark by expanding its fiber-based network to 40 commercial buildings in six major markets, including, Portland, Ore., Sacramento, Calif., and Phoenix, Ariz.
Of the 40 buildings, 23 are new locations and 17 are fiber upgrades at existing sites. In total, Integra now has more than 1,700 fiber-fed buildings and 5,000 miles of high-speed long-haul fiber, allowing greater quality, security, and infrastructure for business customers.
With Integra’s fiber network, customers can access speeds from 5Mb/s up to 10Gb/s. Services on the network include:
- MEF Certified Ethernet
- Virtual Private Network (VPN);
- Session Initiation Protocol (SIP); and
- Dedicated Internet Access (DIA).
“We have invested significant resources so that Integra can aggressively grow its fiber network and better help enterprise customers achieve their business goals,” said Steve Zimba, chief marketing officer of Integra Telecom. “Through successful and strategic builds, both new and potential customers will have access to customizable, high-capacity, fiber-based solutions.”
These additions represent Integra’s $52 million year-long investment to expand its fiber network and provide both wholesale and retail customers carrier-class high-bandwidth products and services. Integra currently operates the most extensive fiber network of any competitive services provider for business in the West.
The recently added buildings are primarily located in the metropolitan areas of Portland, Ore., Bellingham, Wash., Phoenix, Ariz., Boise, Idaho, Sacramento, Calif., and Salt Lake City, Utah.
