Recognized for fostering an “uncarrier” approach to service delivery at 9th annual Stevie® Awards Gala in New York City
DALLAS (July 7, 2011) — Masergy, a provider of global, virtualized network services, was recently named a finalist in The 2011 American Business Awards Customer Service Department of the Year category for telecommunications.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit entries – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 2,800 organizations submitted entries in more than 40 categories.
―We are honored to be recognized as a finalist among such a prestigious group of entrants,‖ said Chris MacFarland, Masergy CEO. ―This distinction validates Masergy’s commitment to providing a superior service experience for all of our clients.‖
Masergy pioneered an innovative, company-wide approach to customer service, branded internally as ―the uncarrier‖ way of doing business. This customer-centric philosophy extends across all facets of the business, including product design, sales engagement, product delivery and service billing. But the most significant area of service differentiation is through the company’s Customer Support Center, offering an industry leading self-service portal for the do-it-yourself IT administrator, along with an engineering staff available day or night for those seeking immediate technical support.
The company promotes its ―uncarrier‖ approach by encouraging employees to develop processes that improve the customer experience and building systems that automate select processes to ensure a consistently high level of customer care. Customer feedback is solicited through surveys as well as in-person account reviews, and customer satisfaction is measured on an ongoing basis, contributing to a culture of continued service improvement.
Finalists were selected by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May. Masergy was recognized during the annual gala on June 20, 2011 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Approximately six-hundred executives from across the United States attended the event which benefited Camfed (camfed.org), an organization that fights poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa by educating girls and empowering women to become leaders of change. The ceremonies were broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.
