Integra Telecom Establishes PoP in Phoenix NAP Datacenter

Phoenix, July 6, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a provider of enterprise grade networking and communications solutions running across a highly reliable 3,000 mile metro fiber network, has established a point-of-presence (PoP) within the Phoenix NAP® facility, a premier datacenter and network access point.

“Integra Telecom relies on datacenters to support interconnectivity, colocation and emergency backup services for our business customers,” said Steve Zimba, chief marketing officer for Integra Telecom. “Phoenix’s stable climate and low risk for natural disasters make it an ideal location for data centers. Phoenix NAP has a reputation of reliability and service, and we’re pleased to have established a PoP within the facility.”

Customers of Phoenix NAP now have access to Integra Telecom’s full suite of high speed, fiber-based network services. Integra Telecom will offer a variety of Internet and networking services out of Phoenix NAP, including: high speed Internet, MPLS VPN, and private line networks.

“The addition of Integra Telecom reinforces our commitment to providing datacenter clients with a multitude of connectivity choices so they can select which might be best for them. The range of services Integra can provide are well-suited to meet the networking and data transmission needs today’s businesses face, and we are thrilled to have them operate a PoP out of our facility,” states Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP.

Integra’s network utilizes multiple, diverse 10 gigabyte per second data backbone links to increase network reliability and enhance overall performance. This allows Integra to sustain seamless connectivity for its customers in the event of regional disasters.

Integra’s world class fiber-optic network reaches thousands of businesses in the major metropolitan areas of 11 western U.S. states. As a network access point, Phoenix NAP strives to offer its customers a vast array of network connectivity solutions. Clients of the datacenter can select whichever option best meets their needs, and can work directly with a provider, such as Integra Telecom, or with Phoenix NAP’s carrier neutral sales staff, to obtain service.
