Wu’s Extensive Industry and Management Experience Will Bring Cisco’s Business in Taiwan to the Next Level
TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 13, 2011 – Cisco today announced the appointment of Frank Wu as general manager, Taiwan, to oversee strategy and field sales operations. Wu will play a key role in maximizing growth opportunities in Taiwan with a focus on accelerating Cisco’s leadership across five priorities: routing, switching and services; collaboration; data center virtualization and cloud; video; and architectures for business transformation.

Wu has over 20 years of experience in the Taiwanese high-tech industry. In the past 10 years he has served in key management roles with major players such as Dell, Sun Microsystems and HP, demonstrating a strong track record and exceeding targets in both business growth and market share gain. Most recently, Wu was the general manager of Teradata Taiwan, with a strong focus and notable success in expanding key accounts in the telecom, financial and manufacturing industries.
Wu has an MSc in Computer Science from Iowa State University in the United States, and holds a BA in Business Administration from National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Wu is based in Taipei and reports directly to Owen Chan, chairman and CEO, Greater China Theater, Cisco.
