GENBAND to migrate Suddenlink’s recently acquired NPG Cable network to A2 Converged Application Servers, S3 Session Border Controllers
Frisco, Texas, June 14, 2011 – GENBAND (http://www.GENBAND.com), a leading developer of IP infrastructure and application solutions, today announced that Suddenlink Communications (http://www.suddenlink.com), the seventh largest cable operator in the United States, has elected to migrate the infrastructure of recently acquired NPG Cable Inc., to GENBAND solutions. GENBAND’s S3™ Session Border Controller (SBC) and A2™ Converged Application Server will provide Suddenlink with an end-to-end Commercial and Residential SIP Services platform including both end user web portal and voicemail functionality. Suddenlink already utilizes the industry-leading GENBAND C20™ Converged Softswitch via a geographically survivable telecommunications systems core for delivering highly-reliable IP voice and multimedia content to Suddenlink subscribers.
