Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) today announced that the company’s MyLevel3 customer portal received a Stevie Award for the top telecommunications website in The 2011 American Business Awards announced on the evening of June 20, 2011.
The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of the Fox Business Network and were broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
The American Business Awards were presented in over 40 categories and governed by a board of distinguished judges and advisors that features many leaders in American business. More than 2,800 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. The MyLevel3 portal won the Telecommunications Stevie Award in the Web Site and Blog award category.
The MyLevel3 portal was designed to provide customers with a complete breakdown of service detail in a simplified summary via a portal dashboard homepage, streamlining the navigation of order statuses, billing statements, reports, network tools and informational resources such as an interactive network map. The result is an intuitive, information-rich and straightforward online service experience for customers.
“Level 3 is dedicated to providing its customers with the best service experience possible, and maintaining a cutting-edge portal interface is crucial to this effort,” said Mark Taylor, vice president of Content and Media for Level 3. “The recent enhancements we have made to our customer portal are just the first of many aimed at improving Level 3’s online channels. We are delighted that the MyLevel3 customer portal has been recognized with a Stevie Award and believe it underscores the investments Level 3 has made to continually improve our customers’ service experience.”
More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.
