Terremark Founder & CEO Manuel D. Medina Steps Down

Verizon Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Services Group President Kerry Bailey to Lead Company

MIAMI – May 19, 2011 — Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a subsidiary of Verizon Communications Inc., today announced that Founder and CEO Manuel D. Medina will step down from his position effective May 31. Kerry Bailey, Group President of Enterprise Cloud Strategy and Services for Verizon, will assume leadership of the company.

Bailey, who has held various executive positions within Verizon, most recently served as chief marketing officer of Verizon Business and chief operating officer of Cybertrust. He will work closely with Terremark’s management team to accelerate the execution of Verizon’s cloud strategy by leveraging the assets and channels of Verizon, along with the innovation and IT solutions excellence of Terremark.
