Vice President of NTT America’s Global IP Network to share expertise on broadband growth in Latin America
WHAT:
Michael Wheeler, vice president of the Global IP Network business unit at NTT America, will participate in a workshop at International Telecoms Week (ITW) 2011 titled, “Regional Focus on Latin America: Keeping the Pace with a Rapidly Expanding Marketplace.”
This will be the second time this spring Wheeler has shared his expertise in telecommunications in Latin America at a high profile event. At Capacity LATAM in Sao Paulo, Brazil in March, he participated in “Monetizing Ethernet: Development, Challenges and Opportunities.” At ITW, NTT America and other Tier-1 providers will collaborate and network with members of the global telecommunications community.
WHO:
Wheeler brings more than 15 years of sales management and operational experience in the Internet and data communications industry to NTT America, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications and a Tier-1 global IP network services provider.
In his current role as Vice President, Global IP Network (GIN) at NTT America, Wheeler is responsible for all financial, engineering, operational and customer relationship activities for the business unit. Previously, Wheeler led the sales and business development organization for the GIN Business Unit, including direct sales, account management, indirect channel sales, sales engineering, marketing, product management and business development activities.
