Internap Receives 2011 Next Generation Network Leadership Award from NGN Magazine

Global, route-optimized Performance IP™ network honored for outstanding innovation

ATLANTA – May 18, 2011 ─ Internap Network Services Corporation (NASDAQ:INAP, news, filings), a provider of intelligent IT Infrastructure services, announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), has named Internap’s global, route-optimized Performance IP™ service a recipient of the 2011 Next Generation Network Leadership Award presented by its publication, NGN Magazine.

As organizations increasingly rely on the Internet for business-critical operations, including delivering a seamless, high quality end-user experience, the performance of the network has become a key competitive differentiator. Internap’s Performance IP service is a global enterprise-class Internet service that uses the company’s patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer™ (MIRO) technology to analyze network performance characteristics – such as latency and packet loss – in real time and deliver traffic over the optimal route. MIRO routes traffic over redundant, high-speed connections leveraging major Internet backbones globally, resulting in intelligent, optimized and highly-reliable delivery of customer content, applications and communications throughout the world. Because of its MIRO technology, Internap is able to offer customers a 100 percent uptime service level agreement (SLA).

“The NGN Leadership Award underscores the broad customer and industry recognition that we are seeing for our Performance IP service,” said Amar Khan, vice president of business development, IP services, at Internap. “Thousands of enterprises across a range of industries that require the highest levels of network availability and performance – including financial services, software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud services, e-commerce, gaming, and more – are leveraging the business-enabling benefits of Performance IP today.”

The Third Annual NGN Leadership Award has recognized the growth, evolution and distinction between the applications and services designed for next generation networks and the enabling technologies that make them possible.

“Internap has been awarded for its exceptional work in advancing NGN services and technologies. Internap’s Performance IP service has proven that it is exceptional, and its innovation has contributed to the transformation of the industry,” stated Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “Congratulations to the entire team at Internap and I look forward to more innovation in the coming year.”

TMC will feature the 2011 NGN Leadership Award winners in its May 2011 issue of NGN magazine. For more information, please visit www.tmcnet.com.
