Local Telecom Provider Launches Community Connection Campaign;
Asks Area Businesses to Nominate a Non-Profit to Win
Portland, Ore., May 20, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a voice and Internet services provider for business, will give one Portland, Ore./Vancouver, Wash.-metropolitan non-profit free, high-speed Ethernet over Copper Internet service for a year through its Community Connection campaign.
The campaign celebrates Integra’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves and encourages area businesses to help out their favorite non-profits by nominating them to win free Internet service. Online nominations are being accepted now through June 15.
The top 10 organizations with the most nominations from regional businesses will be entered into a random drawing from which a winner will be selected on June 23 at an open house. The event will be attended by the Portland Business Alliance (PBA), which will also give the winner a free one-year membership in the PBA. Members of the regional business community will be invited to attend the event to recognize the local nonprofit community and meet Integra Telecom’s executive team.

Community Connection is part of Integra Telecom’s Community Matters program which supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the lives of people in the communities where Integra serves. Qualifying non-profits must be a registered 501 C3 or C4 with an established office within Integra Telecom’s Portland/Vancouver-metropolitan service area. Additionally, the organization’s mission must serve at least one of the following Integra Telecom Community Matters focus areas:
- Youth – health, education and the well being of the youth in the community.
- Health – wellness, safety and the eradication of disease.
- Community – improving the stability and quality of life in the community, particularly in regard to benefiting low-to-moderate income individuals.
Nomination and Selection Process
Portland/Vancouver-metropolitan businesses may enter a non-profit of choice into the campaign by completing and submitting the nomination form available at http://www.integratelecom.com/CommunityConnection/. Nominations may also be submitted via e-mailed to CommunityConnection@IntegraTelecom.com.
