Amsterdam, 24 May 2011 – Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ:EQIX, news, filings), a provider of global data centre services, today announced that the expansion of its Equinix International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data centre in Zwolle, ZW1, has been completed. With the ZW1 expansion, approximately 494 gross square meters of space has been added to Platform Equinix in the eastern part of the Netherlands. In ZW1, managed services and managed networks for storage, virtualization and cloud services are also provided. The new data centre serves as a regional hub in the North-Eastern part of the Netherlands and like all Equinix IBX data centres, ZW1 offers its customers industry-leading standards in security, compliance and power density, as well as operational expertise and a high-performance network ecosystem. ZW1 also offers a board range of services including colocation, interconnection, support and 24/7 monitoring services.
“Our SME and service provider customers rely on Platform Equinix to improve their application performance and to connect to partner and customer ecosystems,” said Frank van der Heijden, Director Managed Services at Equinix. “The expansion of ZW1 will enable our customers to grow their business in this part of the Netherlands as well as abroad.”
