Firm recognized in ‘Management Team of the Year’ category

GAITHERSBURG, MD, May 19, 2011 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings), the leading global provider of software that enables fixed-line, mobile and cable service providers to deliver real-time communications over their IP networks, today announced it was named a finalist in the Management Team of the Year category in The 2011 American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program, and the 9th Annual Stevie® Awards will be presented on June 20th in New York City. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 2,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in more than 40 categories.

As a finalist in the Management Team of the Year category for firms with more than 100 employees, BroadSoft was recognized for key business and financial accomplishments during 2010 that included an Initial Public Offering (IPO), a strategic acquisition and global expansion. The firm finished 2010 as the leading worldwide provider of VoIP applications, a global infrastructure that supports 450+ customers in 65 countries, employees in 19 countries, and R&D centers in four countries.

“2010 represented a year of both significant opportunities and challenges for BroadSoft, and due to the contributions of the entire management team – and worldwide employee base – we not only met these stiff challenges, but thrived and recorded our most successful year ever,” said Michael Tessler, president and chief executive officer, BroadSoft. “We are honored to be recognized alongside some of the nation’s top companies and management teams.”

BroadSoft’s IP communications software has been purchased by more than 450 global fixed-line, mobile and cable service providers — including 16 of the world’s 25 largest — to deliver voice and multimedia services over their IP-based networks. The firm recently announced BroadCloud® — a cloud-based, hosted infrastructure that will serve as the foundation for the company’s growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) communications capabilities, as well as MobileMxD, an integrated suite of Consumer and Unified Communications (UC) services optimized for 4G networks and the growing variety of smartphones and tablet devices.
