Key Highlights:

  • QTS expands its leadership team as the company experiences continued growth.
  • Previous chief operations officer, Brian Johnston, will now serve as the company’s chief technology officer.
  • QTS creates executive vice president of enterprise sales position demonstrating its commitment to current and future enterprise customers.

ATLANTA (April 5, 2011) – QTS (Quality Technology Services), one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing providers of data centers and managed services, announced Thursday that current QTS executive, Brian Johnston, will now serve as the company’s chief technology officer. In addition, QTS welcomes Thomas “Tag” Greason as executive vice president of enterprise sales, a newly created position. QTS’ growing leadership team is a reflection of the company’s recent financial growth and state-of-the-art data center expansions.

With more than 17 years of experience, QTS’ previous chief operations officer, Brian Johnston, will now serve as the company’s chief technology officer where he will provide technology leadership for IT infrastructure, product development and data center design. In his previous role, Johnston oversaw operational and engineering functions, led innovations in cloud architecture, and developed integrated support for QTS’ full-service portfolio. QTS President Mark Waddington’s position is being expanded to president and chief operating officer and he will assume the company’s operational responsibilities.

“Brian has been instrumental in QTS’ recent data center openings and expansions – from the initial design and site infrastructure to completion,” said Waddington. “Brian has a unique combination of design and technological expertise and vast experience in delivering IT solutions. This new executive role will allow him to maximize his unique skill set and the value he brings to our company.”

In addition to broadening its enterprise offerings, QTS recently created the position of executive vice president of enterprise sales and welcomes Tag Greason to the company’s leadership team. Greason brings 17 years of experience to QTS as a senior sales executive, marketer and financial analyst. As executive vice president of enterprise sales, he will execute QTS’ commitment to the enterprise market with a focus on QTS’ Richmond and Atlanta facilities as well as lead a national team of enterprise sales directors. Greason will work closely with the chief financial officer and chief marketing and business officer to develop short and long term revenue growth strategies for QTS.

Prior to joining QTS, Greason served as executive vice president for Current Analysis, Inc. and vice president of global services at Savvis Communications, Inc. Greason holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy. In 2009 Greason was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he continues to serve.

“By developing large footprint custom data center space in multiple facilities around the country, launching PowerFlexTM and PowerBankTM and now with the addition of Tag, QTS is demonstrating its commitment to future and current enterprise customers,” said Tesh Durvasula, chief marketing and business officer – QTS. “We are confident that Tag’s leadership and experience will be an asset to QTS as our company experiences continued growth.”
