WAYNESBORO, VA – March 22, 2011. The Alleghany Chamber of Commerce and Tourism named nTelos as its 2010 Business of the Year at its annual dinner at the Homestead on March 19, 2011.
nTelos was recognized for submitting and winning a broadband stimulus award from the U.S. Rural Utilities Service, and for building a fiber optic network in unserved and underserved areas of the Alleghany Highlands. The project will add $16 million and 40 jobs to the area economy.
The Chamber also recognized nTelos’ support as a small business advocate and a longtime corporate sponsor of community service organizations and events.
