New Global Carrier Ethernet Technology Leader Emerges with Completion of Overture – Hatteras Merger

COMPTEL PLUS SPRING 2011, LAS VEGAS, NV, March 21, 2011 – Carrier Ethernet market leaders Overture Networks and Hatteras Networks today announced they have completed the merger of the two companies. The new Overture Networks will continue to be headquartered in Research Triangle Park, NC, under the combined leadership and guidance of key members from both companies’ executive teams. Service provider customers around the world now have greater access to the broadest array of Carrier Ethernet solutions and services from an even stronger global partner.

The new Overture is home to an expanded array of innovative solutions, creating a universal Ethernet services platform that includes copper and fiber options for 1Mbps to 10Gbps business services, mobile and DSLAM backhaul, and packet-based infrastructures.
