Intellifiber Networks Signs Multi-Million Dollar Contract for Connectivity to QTS Richmond Data Center

Intellifiber network to offer QTS customers scalability, redundancy, low latency routes and deep portfolio of network services

HERNDON, VA — February 18, 2011 —

Intellifiber Networks, a subsidiary of PAETEC Holding Corp. (NASDAQ GS: PAET), which serves the growing network needs of enterprises, service providers and government markets, today announced it has won a multi-million dollar contract to provide managed network services to one of the largest data centers in North America. The Richmond, Virginia site, owned and operated by Quality Technology Services (QTS), is their newest and largest location, spanning 1.3 million square feet including up to 550,000 square feet of raised floor space and 150MW of power.

The QTS fiber build plan provides two distinct and diverse paths out of Richmond, creating a fully protected service delivering diverse routes to Culpeper and Northern Virginia. The service was specifically designed to meet the needs of Federal Agencies and large commercial enterprises which have performance expectations and often have to meet stringent requirements for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. The fiber build extends Intellifiber’s low-latency routes between Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Chicago.

“We chose Intellifiber based on their track record of building custom, complex network infrastructures for the Fortune 500 and government agencies as well as their ability to deliver on time and on budget,” said Brian Johnston, chief operating officer, QTS. “The connectivity the Intellifiber solution is providing ensures customers in our Richmond data center can effectively and efficiently access any and all networks needed to support their data center deployments, applications and users.”

“We believe that QTS has chosen a perfect location to tap the vast opportunities that exist within the Federal Government and Enterprises on the East Coast.” said Clint Heiden, president of national accounts and fiber services for PAETEC. “We are extremely pleased to have been chosen to build infrastructure to this immense new data center and to partner with QTS in this and other regions.”

Intellifiber Networks interconnects with major data, carrier and hosting facilities in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC. The company also has lit capacity into a variety of centers in such markets as Norfolk, Richmond, Wilmington, Albany, Syracuse, and Buffalo. Across the Intellifiber Networks footprint, customers can receive low flat-rate pricing, quote responses within 24 hours, order acknowledgement and firm order commitments within 24 hours, and service activation in 10 business days or less.
