Having just received private equity funding to scale operations for clients, FiberMedia hired Robert Doherty to serve as Chief Financial Officer. Doherty will be responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions and strategic planning for the company.

Robert Doherty joins FiberMedia with over 20 years of expertise in corporate finance. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University as well as a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. Robert formerly served as CFO for Metromedia Fiber Network (now, Abovenet). Most recently, he was a Partner at Redwood Capital, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the telecom, media and technology sectors. During his career, Robert has also held senior positions at firms such as Citigroup, PaineWebber and Jefferies.
