Fitzwilliam, Gilford and Newmarket see added coverage
MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 8, 2011) – FairPoint has recently announced the expansion of broadband to more than 1,250 homes and businesses in the Fitzwilliam, Gilford and Newmarket areas. This expansion is part of FairPoint’s plan that provided broadband access to 85 percent of its service areas in New Hampshire by the end of 2010.

Since April 2008, FairPoint has invested $140 million in the communications infrastructure and technology to bring broadband to northern New England, including building more than 700 miles of new fiber across the region.
FairPoint has expanded broadband service to 425 homes and businesses in Fitzwilliam. High-speed connection areas include all or portions of the following roads: Brigham Hill, Castle, Howeville, Keene, Lake, Laurel, Rousseau, Sandy Beach, Sandy Hollow, South Pond, Templeton and Whites Grove.
Broadband service has been added to an additional 400 homes and businesses in the Newmarket area. High-speed connection areas include all or portions of the following roads: Alyce, Ash Swamp, Bald Hill, Balsam, Doe Farm, Fieldstone, Fogg, Fox, Fox Hollow, Grant, Hamel Farm, Hilton, Johnson, Joy Farm, Madison, Neal Mill, Pendercast, Raymond, Schanda, Turkey Ridge and Wiggin.
In Gilford, 425 homes and business are eligible for high-speed broadband from FairPoint. Areas include all or portions of the following roads: Area, Auburn, Balsam, Barefoot, Chalet, Cherry Valley, Chestnut, Curtis, Falls, Foxglove, Greenleaf, Juniper Ridge, Leisure, Northview, Oakland, Ryswick, Sagamore, Silver, Tate, White Birch, and Yasmin.
