Multinational selects Cotendo for its superior technology and for a rich feature set
Sunnyvale, California, USA – February 16, 2011 – Cotendo, a fast growing innovative provider of Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Value-Added Site Acceleration services, and Bayer AG announced that the health care, nutrition and high-tech materials science giant has signed a 2-year extension contract for continued use of Cotendo’s Site Acceleration suite. Bayer selected Cotendo as primary CDN and site acceleration provider in March 2010. The company uses Cotendo’s suite, including its Dynamic Site Acceleration Service, to accelerate content delivery and simplify management of corporate web properties comprising over 10,000 HTML pages and more than 40 microsites worldwide.

Cotendo´s innovative technology also includes control functions such as flushing, which can be carried out in real time and make it possible to keep all objects in the cache as long as needed and to update them within seconds.
Bayer often updates web content on thousands of Web pages across various sites several times per week and sometimes even multiple times per day. The process of deleting cached content previously had consumed significant time and resources. The acceleration suite gave Bayer immediate web content updates and instantaneous purging of content from Bayer sites. The real-time management capabilities are remarkably simple to use even for complex Web site management requirements.
