One Source Networks Joins Telx Ethernet Exchange

Voice and Data Solutions Provider Partners with Interconnection Leader in Chicago to Augment Ethernet Services to U.S. and International Customers

New York, NY (January 11, 2010) – Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced that leading voice and data networking company One Source Networks has joined the Telx Ethernet Exchange. Deployed within Telx’s downtown Chicago data center, One Source Networks will leverage the facility-neutral Ethernet Exchange for the fast and cost-effective exchange of data traffic between its users of Ethernet services, including Fortune 1000 enterprise customers.

“With its one-to-many network scalability features, Telx’s Ethernet Exchange gives us the ability to rapidly meet our enterprise and service provider customers’ increasing connectivity demands,” said Gina Nomellini, Chief Marketing Officer of One Source Networks.  “After evaluating the Ethernet Exchange offerings available, we selected Telx’s Ethernet Exchange due to the strategic location of the Chicago data center, as well as Telx’s relationship with Neutral Tandem. Together, they can offer the most comprehensive and flexible Ethernet Exchange network in the country.”

Telx has turned up Ethernet Exchange services for service provider customers in five key U.S. cities.  Telx is also providing these customers with assistance in building customer business models, helping them buy and sell Ethernet services to regional, national and international customers.

“With the addition of One Source Networks to our Ethernet Exchange, Telx continues to build a high-value community of global and U.S.-based Ethernet service providers. These Ethernet Exchange members can leverage our services to meet the demand of their enterprise customers without the time and cost associated with establishing private, network-to-network interface (NNI) connections,” said Brad Hokamp, CMO of Telx. “Further, our relationship with Neutral Tandem gives companies like One Source Networks seamless access to carriers on the Neutral Tandem Ethernet Exchange in 14 U.S. markets through 21 locations, making it the largest Ethernet Exchange coverage in the U.S.”

Ethernet Exchange experts from Telx and One Source Networks experts will be part of a live, interactive panel, “A Seamless Connection: How Ethernet Exchanges Extend Service Provider Networks,” at Pacific Telecommunications Council’s annual conference, PTC 2011, on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa.
