INTEGRA TELECOM WILL GIVE ONE SAN RAFAEL NON-PROFIT FREE INTERNET SERVICE FOR A YEAR

  • Local Telecom Provider Launches Community Connection Campaign;
  • Asks Area Businesses to Nominate a Non-Profit to Win

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 25, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a voice and Internet services provider for business, will give one Marin County, Calif. non-profit free, highspeed T1 Internet service for a year through its Community Connection campaign. The campaign celebrates Integra’s recent expansion in the North Bay market and encourages area businesses to help out their favorite non-profits by nominating them to win free Internet service. Online nominations are being accepted now through Feb. 11.

“Integra Telecom takes pride in supporting community service organizations and we are excited to introduce ourselves to San Rafael and the surrounding region through our Community Connection program,” said Shawn Shaw, sales manager for Integra Telecom. “The economy has forced many charitable organizations to tighten their belts and our hope is that through Community Connection we are able to provide at least some relief to a non-profit organization serving Marin County.”

Community Connection is part of Integra Telecom’s Community Matters program which supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the lives of people in the communities where Integra serves. Qualifying non-profits must be a registered 501 C3 or C4 with an established office within Integra Telecom’s Marin County service area. Additionally, the organization’s mission must serve at least one of the following Integra Telecom Community Matters focus areas:

1. Youth – health, education and the well being of the youth in the community.
2. Health – wellness, safety and the eradication of disease.
3. Community – improving the stability and quality of life in the community, particularly in regard to benefiting low-to-moderate income individuals.

Nomination and Selection Process
Marin County businesses may enter a non-profit of choice into the campaign by completing and submitting the nomination form available at http://www.integratelecom.com/CommunityConnection/. Nominations may also be submitted via e-mailed to IntegraCommunityConnection@IntegraTelecom.com.

The top 10 organizations to receive the most nominations from the regional business community will be entered into a random drawing, from which the winning non-profit will be selected. The drawing will be held on March 9 during the “Business After 5 Mixer,” hosted by the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce and Circle Bank at the Circle Bank San Rafael, 1200 Fifth Ave., San Rafael, Calif.
