MANCHESTER, N.H. (January 3, 2011) – FairPoint Communications is welcoming the return of Ellen Scarponi as its new director of government relations and economic development in New Hampshire.
Scarponi returns to FairPoint after having previously served as the senior account manager for government accounts with primary responsibility for the state of New Hampshire, the University System, and the Community College System of New Hampshire.
“This is an extremely important position for FairPoint as our relationships with elected and appointed officials are a critical part of our future success,” said Teresa Rosenberger, state president for FairPoint in New Hampshire. “Ellen has a solid background in telecommunications and understands its importance to New Hampshire. Scarponi previously served as director of sales and district manager for AT&T across northern New England and Rhode Island with responsibility for voice and data networking and e-commerce product lines. She also has extensive business development and customer service experience, including owner and manager of the first Dream Dinners franchise in New Hampshire.
She has served as board president for the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester and as an active member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Scarponi and her husband Bob live in Canterbury.
