Smith, Ciena’s president and CEO, as a member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), effective as of January 7, 2011. Mr. Smith joins an elite group of industry leaders from major telecommunications companies, network service providers and information technology, finance and aerospace companies, whose mission is to provide the President collaborative advice and expertise regarding telecommunications national security and emergency preparedness issues.
