Crain’s New York Business Distinguishes Interconnection Leader for Innovative Programs that Empower Employees
New York, NY (Dec. 8, 2010) – Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced it has earned the number thirty-three spot on the 2010 Crain’s New York Business list of “Best Places to Work in New York City.” The rankings are published annually and winners are determined by statistical analysis that includes in-depth surveys on employee happiness and company benefits. The company rankings were revealed in an invitation-only awards luncheon hosted by Crain’s on December 3, and the top 50 companies were profiled in the December issue of Crain’s NY Business.
Companies in this competition range in size from less than 50 employees to 50,000+ and included firms from various industries. Employees at competing companies were asked to anonymously answer specific questions about the quality of their workplace, such as retention incentives, succession programs and staff recognition efforts. Crain’s New York Business acknowledged Telx as a “Jackpot of Recognition,” based on its many employee incentives and awards that create a culture of gratitude in the workplace. Telx’s employees are encouraged to recognize the best efforts of fellow co-workers and are frequently and generously honored for hard work and good decision-making through incentives such as gift cards, plaques and other rewards.
“Being named one of the best companies to work for in New York City echoes the collective viewpoints and happiness of our own team,” said Telx CEO Eric Shepcaro. “Telx has successfully created a people-first culture that empowers employees and recognizes accomplishments. The honor truly reflects that we have forged a work environment that fosters success.”
