Europe’s leading provider of premium network independent data centres, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Improved Data Centre Energy Efficiency’ category at the Data Centre Leaders Awards 2010, showcasing TelecityGroup’s industry-leading role in driving energy efficiency.
The ‘Improved Data Centre Energy Efficiency’ category, sponsored by The Green Grid, recognises the organisation that has shown innovation in adapting The Green Grid metrics, modelling and research to improve the energy efficiency of existing facilities on a strategic basis.
TelecityGroup has been recognised for its continuous improvement programme to address environmental efficiency across its data centre portfolio, based on its Energy Management Programme. As part of this, TelecityGroup has rolled out the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres to all its facilities in Europe, adopted the ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and achieved the Carbon Trust Standard in the UK.
