Juniper Networks to Showcase IPv6 Leadership and Strength at gogoNET LIVE! 2010

The conference, being held in San Jose, Calif. from November 2-4, 2010, will host the largest gathering of IPv6 professionals in North America.

Details: Juniper to conduct a technical workshop on its full range of CGNAT solutions and discuss typical migration strategies for global service providers. The CGNAT solution enables service providers to confront the immediate challenge of rapidly depleting IP addresses and provide a transition strategy towards IPv6.

The “Discontinuity Event”: Co-existence of IPv4 and IPv6

Details: Ward, CTO of Infrastructure Products Group, will discuss why IPv6 and IPv4 must co-exist in today’s enterprise and service provider networks. Strategies dealing with the imminent exhaustion of IPv4 addresses are discussed. DSLite, CG-Nat, 6rd and reclaiming unused addresses are among the methods being leveraged by service providers. Transitioning to IPv6 while preserving IPv4 services is the key for a successful migration.
