Operators connected to CENX Exchanges now have easy access to Colt’s widespread Ethernet footprint across Europe
November 2, 2010
Colt, Europe’s leading information delivery platform, is announcing a new offering to provide high quality Carrier Ethernet services to wholesale customers via Carrier Ethernet Neutral Exchange (CENX), the operator of the world’s most connected Carrier Ethernet exchange with over 15 million Ethernet Service Locations (ESL). The initial connections are at CENX’s Carrier Ethernet Exchanges in London and New York and will create new business opportunities for Colt and its partners.
CENX will manage the complex service translation and real-time monitoring for its exchange members enabling Colt’s services to be accessed without lengthy, complex network integration work providing the highest quality of connectivity to locations worldwide for its customers.
“With many operators and end-customers having migrated to Ethernet services, these new connections with CENX open up a significant new level of connectivity for our business. They bring seamless interconnection with Colt’s information delivery platform from and to worldwide locations,” said Lutz Blank, Director, Wholesale Marketing, of Colt. “More of our customers will now benefit from high quality Carrier Ethernet services without compromise.”
The new connections will mean carriers in North America, Europe, and Asia will now have access to Colt’s Ethernet-based solutions, supported by its extensive wholly owned and managed network and its interconnections with over 150 reliable network partners across all Europe.
“We are delighted that Colt selected CENX as exchange partner on the heels of our recent opening of our London Carrier Ethernet exchange,” said Nan Chen, President, CENX. “With our CENX Market, members can instantly confirm service availability at the vast number of locations served by Colt across its extensive European network. Once connected, CENX’s service integration, translation and monitoring provide a seamless on-net experience for its members and their end-users.”
